Activities

Arikok National Park

Explore the rough side of the island! This beautiful National Park comprises almost 20% of the island. Enjoy gorgeous views of Aruba’s rugged terrain, desert-like hills filled with tall cacti, a breathtaking coastline and protected local flora and fauna.

The National Park takes you on a memorable journey of the islands past offering unique geological, cultural and historical sites.

We recommend booking a tour of the park or rent a 4x4. You cannot visit the park by foot.

Paddle boarding

The best way to explore Aruba's coastline is by Stand Up Paddle Board. Surfer's Paradise offers a variety of regular SUP tours, SUP snorkel tours, lessons and clinics! Super safe with Irene & Alex as your licensed guides :)  Just send us a message to book.

Jolly Pirates

Always wanted to be a pirate? You'll sure feel like on on this awesome Pirate Ship with open bar. Take a dive in the water with the rope swing and enjoy the scenic views.

Casino at the Ritz Carlton

In our opinion, this is the best casino on the island. Modern machines, super friendly staff, complementary drinks when you are playing, many tables and amazing beach view when you step out onto the balcony of the Ritz.

No flamingos

Many tourists want to see flamingos on Aruba because they are highly promoted by the hotels as a tourist attraction. But did you know flamingos are not native to Aruba? They are being held in captivity on Renaissance Island (as part of the hotel) and are not able to fly because their wings are clipped. This tourist trap costs $100USD. We do not recommend this activity.

Eagle Beach

This beach is a real gem, straight from a postcard! Beautiful long sandy beach. Even the ocean floor is also sandy here, no need to worry about sharp rocks. Perfect for a beach day, some early morning yoga, meditation or just a swim. Generally it is quiet  as it is not in front of the high-rise hotels. There are options for beach chair rental. Sunsets are magnificent, don't forget your camera!

Windsurfing/Kitesurfing

If you are looking for a thrill, visit Aruba Active Vacations (AAV) on Fisherman's Hut beach. They offer lessons in windsurfing and kitesurfing. With an experienced guide, you can also hop on a mountain bike to explore the rugged tracks on the other side of the island.

Aruba Animal Shelter

If you want your holiday to have a positive impact, this is a great option. The Aruba Animal Shelter has only one goal – to improve the life of Aruba’s strays by giving them a second chance! Aruba has a stray dog and cat problem. You can help out by donating or just paying a visit and sharing their mission.
